Alongside uncertainty: Existential pastoral and spiritual care in transitional spaces
- Online
- 23rd Jan '26 11.00 am – 1.00 pm
The workshop will use the discussion of case studies to illustrate the development of meaning[s] for people who find themselves in transient spaces e.g. a remand prison cell, an A & E bay, waiting for deployment on active service; resitting exams. These liminal spaces are precarious, and call for courage and resilience in the person (and indeed in their chaplain/pastoral carer) to explore the feelings, questions and dilemmas that are prompted by their uncertainties and vulnerability.
