Developments of non-religious pastoral care: theory & practice

  • Zoom
  • 8th Sep '22 11.00 am – 1.00 pm

The session will provide embedding of pastoral care within a healthcare chaplaincy context and historic developments – leading up to the non-religious provision of pastoral care in chaplaincy. There will be an opportunity to practice some of these skills in smaller groups. The session shall furthermore touch upon key concepts of ‘walking along-side’ someone’s story and will touch upon the use of story-telling within providing pastoral support.
