Existential/phenomenological supervision in action

  • The Existential Academy
  • 28th Jun '24 10.00 am – 4.00 pm

In this course, we prioritise interaction and individual engagement over presentations – no PowerPoint slides in sight.

Dida's focus is on cultivating an equilibrium between practice and discussion. Through uninterrupted supervision sessions, led by both therapists and supervisors, we will tackle real-life dilemmas in real-time. Each session spans 40-50 minutes, offering ample opportunity for hands-on exploration and collaborative problem-solving.

While this isn't your typical lecture-based course, the insights gained aim to stimulate your thinking  as a therapist or supervisor.

Dida Mitchell has been a therapist and supervisor since 1995, but also works as a mediator and co runs courses on mediation in Guernsey and Oxford. Dida has a very small practice at home and since the lockdown, she continued to only see clients/supervisees via Zoom. She has also been going to Birsrtonas, Lithuania for the last three years running two-day existential supervision workshops.

CPD certificates will be available
